The Raven Ridge Lifetime Guarantee
We build our knives to last a lifetime, and we stand behind our craftsmanship. If your knife fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it at no cost to you.
What is Covered:
-
Manufacturing Defects: Issues with heat treatment, handle scale separation, or structural failures under normal use.
-
Component Failure: Failure of locking mechanisms, pivots, or pins.
What is NOT Covered (The "Prybar" Clause):
A knife is designed for cutting, slicing, and piercing. Our guarantee does not cover damage resulting from:
-
Abuse or Misuse: Using the knife as a prybar, screwdriver, chisel, or hammer.
-
Improper Sharpening: Damage caused by power grinders or excessive material removal that compromises the heat treat.
-
Neglect: Deep pitting or structural rust caused by improper storage (especially with high-carbon steels).
-
Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches on the blade, natural patina, or the dulling of the edge over time.
Bottom Line: If the steel failed because we didn't make it right, we’ll fix it. If the steel failed because you tried to open a manhole cover with it, that’s on you!
